Beat Getting Burnt Out

Let's remember the importance of self-care. It's OK to take some time for yourself daily to do the small and larger things that bring you joy to help you reset for the rest of your day or week ahead. We crucially need those moments of zen in order to survive getting burnt out from the stress life brings us.

So often we overlook "getting burnt out" as actually something that can affect our mental, physical, and emotional health. When you have a build up of different stressors in your life over a long time period, your body starts to respond even without you knowing. The stress hormone cortisol gets released, your health starts to decline, and not only will this affect your daily life and well-being, but it will also start to affect those around you.

One telling sign of burnout is if you're constantly exhausted all the time with little to no motivation to do anything. Those daily tasks and activities that used to excite you no longer give you that same fire as before. Sweating in our infrared saunas help you sleep better at night, reduces stress levels, and lowers blood pressure (to name a few of many benefits). It is the perfect 30 minutes of much-needed personal time to reset from daily stressors and the constant hustle and bustle.

When you get burnt out, you can often times forget to put yourself first and practice self-care. We want to help you change that and change your life! Sweating at CYL a minimum of 3 times per week, will show dramatic improvements to your physical and mental health. Relaxation should be taken seriously so you can live your fullest life.

Getting less than 6 hours of sleep per night can also be a huge factor to getting burnt out. If we don't have the proper fuel and energy to carry out our day, we will end up crashing. Lack of sleep can even make your body more sensitive to stressful situations and environments, which can impair your judgements in those situations. Many people that sweat with us have stopped using sleeping pills even after a few sweat sessions! You will sleep better throughout the night after sweating in infrared saunas, Amen!!

If you feel overwhelmed by your to-do list and constantly "being busy" take a moment to reflect on why you are doing that task in the first place. This will help you be more mindful and grateful when you achieve that goal or task at hand and hopefully less stressed along the way. Other than sweating at CYL, beat getting burnt out by connecting with the outdoors or nature, eat well and treat your body with love, meditate, journal, keep your surroundings clean, socialize, create something, read or listen to music, exercise and stretch, the list goes on!

There are so many simple and easy ways to put yourself first for a few minutes daily so you can beat the burn out. Self-love and self-care should always be at the top of your to-do list. Do something every day that helps you change your life for the better. Remember, you DO matter and it's ok to ride the ebbs and flows of the wave's life brings us.
